Everything you need to know about attending, tabling, or volunteering at RARE.

What is RARE?

RARE is the achronym for Romance Author & Reader Event.
It is a signing event, no panels and no workshops.
No extra cost for photos and signings.
It hosts international authors from all over the world.

Usually there is a bookseller for traditionally published authors.
You can e should bring your own books.
Keep in mind that for every event there could be limits as for as many books an items each author can sign.

All authors decide for themselves if they will have a preorder.
When a preorder form is available it is usually shared in the Facebook Group of each event.

If you preorder something, please take note to not forget!

Traditionally published authors usually don’t have preorder forms and are sold at the local book seller table.

  • Kindle case
  • T-shirt
  • Canvas
  • Whatever can be written on

If the support you choose to get signed requires a specific pen/brush, please bring it yourself.

Different jobs for volunteers are usually available for each event:

  • Author Assistant
  • Line Ambassador
  • Registration Team
  • Set Up Team

Volunteering can be for half a day or for a full day.

Tickets Registration

Tickets registration can happen at the Meet & Greet event or before entering the main event.

A map to show where all the authors will be seated will be shared for each event.
The map is usually shared 1-2 weeks prior each event.

On the map you will find the following information:

  • Ticketed Authors
  • Lunch/Dinner Breaks
  • Freebies Table
  • Book Seller Table
  • Vendors Table
  • RARE Table

Once you’ve been registered and you get your wristband, you can leave and enter the event every time you want.

Wear layers because depending on the wheather and on the location it can get quite cold/warm, also due to your own condition and to A/C.

Wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking and standing in queques a lot.
